When a student buys her prom dress, it’s registered to her school or venue and the prom season right on her order. There’s no separate list to keep up and no binder at the register.

Dresses sold before you started using the registry can be added too, so you can start mid-season.

Duplicates

The same dress can’t be sold twice for one prom

If another student from the same school has already registered that dress for this season, CloudBridal stops the sale and tells you who has it. You find out while she’s still in the shop, and can help her choose another color or style, rather than hearing about it after prom.

Allow the same style in a different color

Sometimes the same style in a different color is fine. You decide: register just the color she chose, and another student can still buy that style in a different color. Or register the style in every color.

Which plan includes the prom registry?
The prom registry is part of the Ultimate plan. Rentals, the client portal, and the online inventory showcase are on Ultimate too. See the pricing page for everything each plan includes.
How does CloudBridal decide a dress is a duplicate?
A registration is a dress style, a school or venue, and a season. A second registration for the same style at the same school or venue in the same season is blocked. If the first registration was for one color only, the block applies only to that color.
What happens if a student wants a dress that’s already registered?
CloudBridal stops the sale and tells you which customer already has that dress for the same school and season, so you can help her choose another color or style.
Can two students from the same school wear the same style in different colors?
Yes, if you allow it. You can register just the color she chose, so the style stays available in other colors. You can make that your default, or decide sale by sale.
Can I register dresses I sold before I turned the registry on?
Yes. You can add earlier orders to the registry at any time, with their school or venue and season.
Which customers and dresses does it apply to?
You choose. The registry covers the kinds of items and customers you set it up for, such as prom dresses sold to prom customers. It comes ready for prom customers.
Can I keep more than one prom season?
Yes. You name each season, like “2027 Prom”, and past seasons stay on file when you start a new one.
Can I export the registry?
Yes. You can download a season’s registrations, or one school’s, as a spreadsheet with the customer, order, dress, color, date of sale and order total.
