Using CloudBridal

Stripe Integration

The Stripe integration allows you to connect to Stripe to help process payments in various parts of CloudBridal. Currently, the following payment areas are supported:

  • Paid/Reserved Appointments: This is the primary function of the Stripe integration. It allows you to capture the customer's payment information at the time of booking an appointment. This allows you to charge for appointments directly, or to take a card on file as a reservation in the event of a no-show.
  • Payment Plans: If you leverage the payment plans functionality, you can allow your customers to pay for their installments online.
  • Individual Payments: While we generally recommend using a dedicated point-of-sale terminal for processing in-person transactions, there are times when you may wish to process a payment directly from a customer's record in CloudBridal.

Connecting to Stripe

To connect to Stripe, you simply need to visit the Stripe Integration page in the CloudBridal settings. From there, you will be able to click the Connect with Stripe button to begin the process.

Stripe will have you go through an onboarding process where you register for an account and provide details about your business. Please follow the instructions provided by Stripe to complete this process.

Using Stripe in CloudBridal

Once you have connected to Stripe and have verified your account, you can navigate to the Stripe Integration to turn on the payment areas that you wish to enable.

Paid/Reserved Appointments

If you toggle on the Paid/Reserved Appointments setting, you will be able to capture payment information at the time of booking an appointment. To do so, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Appointment Settings page.
  2. Scroll down to the Appointment Types section.
  3. For each appointment type that you would like to have clients pay/reserve, click the Edit button and navigate to the Payment Settings tab.
  4. From there, select one of the payment options, enter the fee, and if desired, provide an Additional Disclaimer Message if you have any specific rules about refunds or cancellations.
  5. Once finished, click the Save button. Repeat these steps for each appointment type that you would like to have clients pay/reserve.
Explanation of Appointment Charge options
  • Is Paid - Charged at Booking: This option will charge the client at the time of booking the appointment. This is useful for services that require a deposit or full payment at the time of booking.
  • Is Paid - Charged Manually: This option will not charge the client at the time of booking. Instead, you will have the option to charge the client at a later time. This is useful if you would like to charge them right before their appointment.
  • Reserve Using Credit Card: This option will take the client's credit card information on file at the time of booking. Then if they do not show up for their appointment, you can charge them a no-show fee.
Initiating an Appointment Charge

Appointment charges are initiated through the appointment calendar. Simply navigate to the appointment in question, then click the Actions button and select the Charge option to begin the charge.

Handling Refunds and Other Advanced Operations

If you need to perform a more advanced payment operation that CloudBridal doesn't support directly such as refunding a payment, you can do so directly through Stripe by visiting your Stripe Dashboard.

Payment Plans

If you toggle on the Payment Plans setting, you will be able to allow your customers to pay for their installments online. There are two ways that customers can pay for their installments through CloudBridal:

  1. Client Portal - If you have the client portal enabled, your customers will be able to access their client portal through the client portal link that you share with them. They will be able to view their pending payments and pay for them directly through the portal.
  2. Payment Reminder Emails - To enable payment reminder emails, simply navigate to the Payment Settings and enable the Send Email Reminder to Customer for Upcoming Payment. These reminder emails will include a link to pay for their installment.

Individual Payments

If you toggle on the Individual Payments setting, you will be able to process payments directly from a customer's record in CloudBridal. When entering their payment, you will see a Charge With Stripe checkbox in the payment form. If selected, you will be able to enter the customer's payment information and process the payment directly through Stripe.
